Overview

iConnect Zambia is a leading ISP providing connectivity solutions across major cities including Lusaka, Kitwe, Ndola, and Livingstone.

Framework was brought in to develop a scalable retail environment system — ensuring every store delivers a consistent, high-performing customer experience.

The Challenge

iConnect was expanding — but lacked a defined physical retail standard.

  • No consistent store identity across locations

  • Environments varied in quality and layout

  • Furniture was not standardised or cost-efficient

  • Rollout required speed, control, and budget discipline

What We Did

1. Store Design System

Developed a clear spatial layout that defines how each store functions, flows, and presents the brand.

2. Custom Furniture Design

Created a modular furniture system aligned to operations, customer interaction, and durability.

3. Prototyping & Value Engineering

Tested and refined designs to ensure they could be built efficiently and rolled out within budget.

4. Brand Presence in Space

Translated the iConnect brand into a physical environment — consistent, recognisable, and scalable.

5. National Rollout Framework

Built a repeatable system that can be implemented across multiple locations with consistency and control.

The Approach

We focused on creating a system — not a once-off design.

  • Designed for repeatability across locations

  • Balanced cost, durability, and visual impact

  • Simplified construction and installation

  • Ensured each space performs the same, regardless of location

The Outcome

  • Consistent retail experience across multiple cities

  • Faster, more controlled store rollout

  • Reduced build and furniture costs through standardisation

  • Stronger, more recognisable national brand presence

Key Insight

Scalable design isn’t about making things look the same — it’s about making them perform the same.
